Acrylic on paper
With a background in the creative arts, I first learned to silk screen while I was living in Chicago years ago. Taking classes in both paper and fabric printing helped inform my practice and introduced me to the many ways one can accomplish a print, whether it be hand drawn, stenciled, or computer-aided. In addition to silkscreening, I work with other print methods including lino, stamping, pulling.
My art reflects my love of our native plants, reading and books, and our diverse community. I love learning and am always on the lookout for new techniques to try and new patterns and designs to be inspired by.
Based now in north Texas, I continue creating art alongside my work in the cultural accessiblity sphere and volunteering with students.
